The Shire of York unveiled three new trail brochures to coincide with peak season visitation. The trails explore York’s art & cultural interests, rich flora and fauna, as well as York’s proud history as a heritage town.

York's 24 hour RV site will be moved to Janet Millett Lane on the opposite side of the Avon River.

The Shire of York regrets to advise that Yorkids 2019 will not be going ahead this year.

The Shire is trialling additional safety strategies this year including a multi-lingual canola information flyer, availability of biosecurity signage for farming properties and peak weekend ranger patrols. If you’ve never heard of Wara Art, that is all about to change. While some rural communities have their scarecrows and The York Festival has its sculpture competition the Hay Bale Challenge, Japan has Wara Art – a spectacular example of a highly creative use of straw.

York Cycling Festival returns on 1 & 2 September 2018.

This long weekend in June will come alive with a new event called YORKids – A Winter Adventure. The event will run from 11 am – 5 pm Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June throughout the Town Centre.

The York Motorcycle Festival is back in 2018 and will be an exciting and action packed event the whole family can enjoy!
