In response to community concerns raised regarding noise in the surrounding area, the Shire of York is set to implement revised opening times for the Oliver Battista Motocross Track, effective from Monday, 23 June 2025.
New Operating Hours
The track’s revised operating schedule will be:
Monday to Saturday - 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Sunday - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
These changes are designed to reduce early morning and evening noise impacts, particularly on weekends, to support better amenity for the wider community.
The Oliver Battista Motocross Track continues to be a valued asset to both local residents and visitors from the broader region. The facility not only provides a safe and controlled environment for off-road vehicle (ORV) enthusiasts but also plays a vital role in encouraging legal and responsible riding.
By offering a designated and maintained space for recreational riders, the track helps reduce unauthorised riding in environmentally sensitive or unsafe areas, while also contributing to the local economy through tourism and day-trip visitation.
