YORKIDS FESTIVAL POSTPONED TO 2020
The Shire of York regrets to advise that Yorkids 2019 will not be going ahead this year.
Council agreed to support the event this year to the same amount as last year and again applied for external funding for the event. However, some funding decisions have been delayed due to the calling of the Federal Election.
A number of options have been explored including conducting a smaller one-day festival, however the Shire wants to ensure the high standard of the two day event experienced last year is maintained.
The Shire is disappointed that the event cannot be held this year, but we are committed to planning a great community event for families and the broader community in 2020.
The Shire of York will continue to work closely with the community and event supporters to ensure we create a sustainable and vibrant event for years to come.
