The App is a mobile visitor information service with attractions and business listings to support the York Visitor experience. 

TRANSWA BOOKING INFORMATION The York Visitor Centre is now the local booking agent for all Transwa travel enquiry and booking needs. Located inside the York Town Hall, the Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm.

In the latest round of Community funding, the Shire committed funding to the Flour Mill Emporium to assist with developing the art space to showcase local and emerging artists.

The Shire of York has completed the development of a mobile application 'Experience York' to support visitor information in York.

Being a weekend town, it can be a bit tricky to find somewhere to eat in York at the start of the week. Here's a quick list of places open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Will you brighten the day of a visitor by sharing your smile and knowledge once a week?  Then become a Visitor Centre Volunteer! Volunteers are needed from across the York community in the York Visitor Centre during busy festival and tourism seasons.

The Shire of York regrets to advise that Yorkids 2019 will not be going ahead this year.

The Shire is trialling additional safety strategies this year including a multi-lingual canola information flyer, availability of biosecurity signage for farming properties and peak weekend ranger patrols. More information on these strategies is available from the Shire office or the York Visitor Centre.

If you’ve never heard of Wara Art, that is all about to change. While some rural communities have their scarecrows and The York Festival has its sculpture competition the Hay Bale Challenge, Japan has Wara Art – a spectacular example of a highly creative use of straw.

York Cycling Festival returns on 1 & 2 September 2018.

This long weekend in June will come alive with a new event called YORKids – A Winter Adventure. The event will run from 11 am – 5 pm Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June throughout the Town Centre.

The York Motorcycle Festival is back in 2018 and will be an exciting and action packed event the whole family can enjoy!

As part of the Element Road Series, the York Cycling Festival is a whole weekend of fun for the whole family.
