York Town Hall Guided Tour

Past Event

Join the Visitor Centre team during the York Heritage Festival as we step back in time and explore the magnificent York Town Hall. Gold rushes in Southern Cross, Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie from the 1880's onwards meant boom times for York as it was the last point to buy supplies for the long journey.

We will take you on a journey through the past history of the Town Hall, reimagine the days of wealth and prosperity, it's halcyon and hey days, find out the meaning behind the listing of the names on the honour boards, and feel the presence of persons unknown as we recount tragic tales surrounding the legendary "permanent residents" of the Town Hall.

Max 25 persons per tour.
