Faversham House - A Tribute to "The Seekers" presented by AVENUE.
Past Event
This show has been a sell out at Fringe and numerous Perth venues. It is fabulous!
The Seekers formed in 1962 in Melbourne, where they wowed their audiences with beautiful four-part harmonies and unique blend of folk and pop. They had found a magical ingredient that would bring them amazing success in Australia, the UK, and America, selling 50 million records worldwide.
Drift back to the heady days of the '60s as Avenue presents old favourites such as Georgy Girl, I'll Never Find Another You, and Red Rubber Ball, interwoven with the story of four ordinary Australians who became international musical icons.
In 1967, Judith Durham decided to pursue a solo career, and The Seekers disbanded. However, they left behind a legacy of music that will stay in our hearts forever.
The last song The Seekers played during their emotional final performance was "The Carnival is Over." Avenue's show would not be complete without featuring this beautiful song and its lyrics that reach out to touch the listener's soul.
