A presentation on the history of the Avon River in York by the River Conservation Society at the Environmental Centre, Glebe Street York.  Learn how this hardworking team is restoring the river and its surrounds.

The Environmental Centre will also be open to showcase the history of the river and the great diversified flora and fauna in and around York and the Avon Valley.  View the amazing collection of plant species collected over the years and learn how they have been instrumental in discovering several new species of plants as well as saving many endangered and rare plants.  You will be fascinated by this dedicated team who are more than happy to share their knowledge.
