Employment Opportunities Presentation

Past Event

A presentation to attract new and existing workers.

Anzac Day is a great time to remember our older residents.

Local work opportunities presentation – Shout out to friends or family members of potential workers.

'Staying in Place' is not new to WA.

The ‘Staying in Place’ model is proven in many WA country towns since it was developed in Pingelly a few years ago.
York is one of the newest towns to support this model of Home Care Package delivery and It won’t be long before you hear about ‘Staying in Place’ in other media.
Nominate someone to be a part of the success or get on board yourself.

Are you or do you know someone that might be interested in supporting our ageing local legends with Commonwealth funded Home Care Packages (HCP). They have worked hard in their lives and now they just need a little help to stay in their own homes. They have a right don’t they! Many people spend their lives helping others and then they sometimes forget to ask for help when they need help themselves.

Local roles are developing for assisting our older HCP residents and others with Cleaning Housework Gardening Property Maintenance Shopping, Cooking, Technology, Personal Care and transport to appointments or just getting out of the home to enjoy what others take for granted. Roles will be ever developing in direct contact with clients or within the co-ordination space.

Staying in Place - York and Surrounds Inc. have spent a lot of time trying to attract locals to the local workforce, but sometimes friends or family are the right ones to give someone a nudge and say “this looks like a role you would like."

We will ensure our workforce is well trained, job ready, encouraged, organised and developed well into our local area.
So how does self-employment with flexible hours, that you set the hourly rate for look to you?

Can you encourage someone special towards our workspace?

Are you aware of older residents in York and Surrounds that are needing more support to stay at home. Help them to get in touch with a supportive space.

A light lunch will be provided for those that can RSVP for this FREE event.

Additional opportunities will be on 3 May 1-3pm and 22 May 10-12pm and more after then as required.

Each event will have 12 places available for you or your nominated opportunist.
