The Shire of York is delighted to announce the launch of the new Experience York App. The App is a mobile visitor information service with attractions and business listings to support the York Visitor experience.
The new digital application (App) showcases York and creates an engaging and intuitive way for visitors to research, plan, and experience their visit to the destination. The App provides users with an elegant, one-tap mobile device solution for planning, coordinating, and booking York experiences.
With interactive maps, the App allows you to locate attractions using the GPS from your mobile device. This means, once downloaded, you can know your location in relation to any attraction listed on the app without the need for mobile data.
It combines the many aspects of the Shire website, particularly those of the Visitor Centre section, plus additional Trails to present everything there is to see and do. All of the Shire’s historic and natural attractions, facilities and visitor services are now in one easy to use online application.
The App includes easy navigation, maps and other important information such as Attractions; Tours; Heritage & Buildings; Galleries; Arts & Craft; Food & Drink; Camping; For Kids; Shopping; Self-drive Tours; Accommodation; Parks & Nature; Events; and Activities & Services.
The Shire will be promoting the App through its website, Destination Perth, Visitor Centre and Tourism brochures and magazines. All business in York will be provided with a sticker and leaflets to display.
The App is available to download free on the App Store and Google Play. Open either store and search "Experience York".
Eat at one of many alfresco cafes, pubs and offerings to suit all tastes.
Play in the clouds, whether it be hot air ballooning, gliding or more sedate activities such as cycling, heritage walks or trails.
Shop at one of the charming retail stores gracing the historical streets of York. You are sure to find something special to remind you of your visit.
Stay in the opulent surrounds of York's homesteads, self-contained CBD accommodations or experience York's bed and breakfast hospitality.
