New exhibition "Of flora and fauna"

From 13 March until 2 May 2021 Gallery 152 will be showing a new exhibition titled “Of flora and fauna” highlighting what Australia’s native flora and fauna has to offer. The three featured artists Jason McDonald, Annie Kavanagh and Myra Mitchell present their approach to showcase Australia's native flora and fauna through photography and paintings.

Jason McDonald worked as an award-winning graphic designer in Sydney before returning to the family farm in NSW and discovering a passion for photographing birds, insects, flora, and fauna. Myra Mitchell is an award-winning artist, who started her career off in nursing and then designing and making jewellery for ten years and then progressed into painting. She is inspired by the nature and landscapes she lives in. (Source: https://myramitchell.com.au/sample-page/)

Annie Kavanagh is an English-born photographer, now based on a farm in the Wheatbelt, Western Australia. She studied illustrative photography at the Photography Studies College in Melbourne and she now works from her garden studio in the Wheatbelt drawing inspiration from the natural world around her.
