2021 Canola season has kicked off early

The 2021 Canola season has kicked off early!

Canola for Tourism fields are open to the public to walk through and take photos at Pet Teet Park (1625 Qualen West Rd, Gilgering)

Family attractions, farm animals, toilet facilities and parking areas available onsite

Entry fees for the 2021 season are:

Family: 2 adults + 2 children = $40
Single adult $15
Children/pensioners $10
Children under 5 free

Outside Pet Teet Park, it is illegal to enter private farming properties to take photos. Canola on farms is grown for export and entering these fields is illegal and can cause serious biohazard and safety risks to you and the crop. 

York welcomes visitors to enjoy the Canola flowering season however you must:

  • Stay out of crops
  • Park vehicles safely
  • Respect private properties

Canola safety signage is available from the York Visitor Centre.for farming properties experiencing visitors impacting private Canola fields.
