WestCycle WA York Canola Classic State Fondo Series Round 2

The WestCycle events team are thrilled to announce that entries for the WA State Fondo Series Round 2 York Canola Classic are now open.
The York Canola Classic is a mass-participation recreational ride hosted in the stunning Shire of York. This picturesque ride will take you on a 93km or 52km scenic journey from the heart of the Town of York, through to the striking yellow canola fields of the Avon Valley Region.

WestCycle, the peak body for riding in Western Australia, will be hosting the Cycling Event, WA State Fondo Series Round 2 York on Sunday 29th August. This event will commence at 8:00AM and will conclude at approximately 1:00PM.

 

The following roads will form part of the route the cyclists take (click here to view map):

 

  • Knotts Road/Talbot Road
  • Talbot W Road
  • Qualen W Road

 

There will be Traffic Management in place at any significant intersections to assist vehicles and riders at these points.  The roads will not be closed and riders will be advised to adhere to the Road Traffic Laws and act in a courteous manner toward all residents and road users. Access to and from the resident entryways has been carefully considered, the event will cause minimal disruption.
