York has three scenic parks:
Avon Pioneer Park
The banks of the Avon River offer a perfect picnic spot with free gas BBQs, picnic tables, shady trees and public toilet facilities. Stroll down to the Swinging Bridge and walk along the Avon Walk Trail.
York is an RV friendly Shire with 24 hour free RV parking and a dump point located at Avon Park.

Great Southern Hwy, heading towards Beverley.
One of the few remaining permanent pools of the Avon River, just 11 kms south of York. Features a boardwalk to the permanent natural river-pool and a viewing tower so you can admire the surrounding bushland.
Gwambygine Park is also a free 24 hour RV camping spot. BBQ and Public Toilets available.
There are two large public car parks on Lowe Street and Howick Street.
Two hour parking is available on the main street (Avon Terrace).
There are three public toilet locations close to the York town centre.
1. York Town Hall, cnr of Avon Terrace and Joaquina Street
Opening hours: 7 days per week: 9.30am - 3.30pm.
2. Avon Park, Lowe Street
Opening Hours: 7am-7pm, 7 days a week

There is availability for a limited number of self-contained RV's to park at Avon Park for a 24 hour period free of charge. There is also a Dump Point available at Avon Park. Also available is a fresh water supply, free gas BBQs with shaded picnic areas. This area is close to shopping amenities and our famous Swinging Bridge. If you would like to stay longer, there are two caravan parks close by.
