A flag raising ceremony will be held on Friday 2 June at the Shire Administration building to coincide with National Reconciliation Week and all York residents are invited to attend. National Reconciliation Week (NRW) “celebrates and builds on the respectful relationships shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other Australians” (Source: ww.reconciliation.org.au). Further flag poles will also be installed at later dates in Avon and Memorial Park.
