Walk the Greenhills Heritage trail and lunch at the historic Greenhills Inn (Australian Heritage Festival)

Saturday 9th May 2020

Park outside the historic Greenhills Inn to take a leisurely stroll through the village whilst finding out the fascinating stories of local characters and places that formed Greenhills on a brand new, accessible short walk trail of 1.5km.

The current townsite sprang up around the new branch line of the railway in 1898 and there is plenty of evidence of the bustling area it was in years gone by.

From 10:00am to 12:00 noon both the restored bakery built in 1897 and the beautiful hall built in 1912 will be open to give visitors the opportunity to view these historic buildings.

Lunch guests can view parts of the Inn not normally open to the public so this is a special opportunity to explore one of the most authentic historic country pubs you’re ever likely to find; be sure to book in advance.

On the way home don't miss the extension of the Greenhills Heritage Trail centred on the charming wooden St Andrews Church and early settlers cemetery.

Heritage Trail, Bakery and Hall entrance are free but lunch is at own cost.
