How do the rich get so rich? The early days of Western Australia saw John Henry Monger Snr go from having nothing to being the richest man in the colony in 30 years.
Fund manager Rob Garton Smith takes a business perspective to analyse why Monger was so successful by following his business decisions from his arrival in the Colony in 1829 as an assisted immigrant to becoming the owner of grand mansions in York and Perth and 70,000 acres of farmland.
